Terms of Service

CLAK (“the Service”) helps you organize your work experience and tailor it to specific job descriptions using AI assistance. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. What the Service does

You provide your own work experience (as “experience blocks” and “Career Memory” facts) and, optionally, a job description. The Service uses AI models to analyze the job description and suggest rewordings of your resume bullets that better align with it, and to export the result as a PDF.

2. Your content stays yours

You retain ownership of everything you upload or write (resumes, job descriptions, Career Memory entries). You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate and improve the Service for you.

3. Honesty is the whole point

The Service is explicitly designed not to invent experience, employers, metrics, or accomplishments you did not provide. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for reviewing every AI-generated rewrite before using it — the Service assists with wording, not fact-checking or verifying your career history.

4. AI processing & third parties

To analyze job descriptions and rewrite resume content, the text you submit (job descriptions, resume bullets, and related context) is sent to third-party AI providers (currently OpenAI and/or Anthropic) for processing. These providers process the text under their own API data-use terms, which — as of this writing — do not use API submissions to train their models. We do not control these providers' infrastructure and are not responsible for their availability or behavior.

5. No employment or outcome guarantee

The Service is a writing aid. It does not guarantee interviews, job offers, or that any resume will pass a particular employer's screening. Use your own judgment before submitting any resume to an employer.

6. Account & termination

You need an account to use the Service. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your resumes, experience blocks, Career Memory, and generated content. We may suspend or terminate accounts that abuse the Service (e.g. attempting to bypass usage limits or submit unlawful content).

7. Free service, no warranty

The Service is currently offered free of charge and provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We may change, limit, or discontinue features (including free access) at any time. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

8. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
